With over 200 vendors from custom grills to 100 ft yachts the 7th Annual South West International Boat Show was more than a show for boats it was a show for Summer Fun.
A vast "variety of services and products for the boating and outdoor lifestyle, including fishing gear, engines, apparel and outdoor equipment, in addition to a full range of marine electronics, sailing gear, accessories and hardware from top industry names" are present, says a SWIBS Representative, as well as "Our seminar series, which cover topics from cruising with couples and families to digital communication technologies and marine electric propulsion and many more – there is something for everyone to learn at this year’s show. Just a few of the featured seminars will include: Visiting Mexico by Private boat-A Guide to entry requirements into Mexican Marinas; Women and Cruising; Sailing Made Easy-Beginning Sailing Techniques; Galveston Bay Fishing Tactics; Storm/Steering Drogues & Para-Anchors; How to Plan your Boats Energy Usage; Yacht, Cabin &Flotilla Charters Worldwide- Highlighting the Greek Islands; Cruising the Mediterranean and How to Buy a New or Used Yacht."
This year's show not only informed its guest in the sport of summer recreation it entertained as well with a fun packed weekend of events and entertainment. Spectators could relax with a refreshing beverage next to the Main Stage, participate in the Kids R/C remote controlled Powerboat Races or be amazed by Team HydroRockets "Blast Off" at the Boat Show Fly-board demos.
With all this fun in the sun, it is easy to see why the South West International Boat Show is a Bay Area favorite.
