The sunshine filled weekend provided a picturesque setting for this year's exquisite marine and auto event, the "Keels & Wheels Concours D'Elegance" at Lakewood Yacht Club in Seabrook, Texas.Celebrating its 20th anniversary this unique and elegant motor event divided classic cars and wooden boats into roughly 40 classes of cars and 20 classes of boats all with hopes in acquiring the prestigious honor, "Best of Show".
With the formal judging taking place on Saturday and the Ceremony of Awards taking place on Sunday there was plenty of time to appreciate the extensive selection of fine auto and marine vehicles on hand. This along with the abundance of helpful volunteers deployed throughout the event grounds to help spectators and entry owners alike, gave-way for the Lakewood Yacht Club to extend the very best in "Texas Hospitality" for all of those present.
Owners of the classic cars and antique wooden boats were encouraged to join this years event not only to share their beautiful treasures, but to support the local Boys and Girls Harbor. This extraordinary organization, founded in 1947 by the members of Houston’s Downtown Optimist Club with the support of many prominent Houston business and civic leaders, makes it their mission to "provide healthy, comprehensive residential care for children and families in crisis" explains a Boys and Girls Harbor Representative.
